HealthInvest advisor appointed chair of Nobel Committee

Per Svenningsson, one of the experts on HealthInvest’s Medical Council, has been appointed chair of the Nobel Committee for the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

In his new role he will play a key role in the process leading up to the annual decision on the laureate or laureates in this category.

Svenningsson is a senior physician in the Heart, Vascular and Neuro theme at Karolinska University Hospital and Professor of Neurology at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at Karolinska Institutet. As chair of the Nobel Committee for Physiology or Medicine, he will lead the committee’s work to prepare a proposal for this year’s Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

The committee’s proposal is presented on the first Monday in October to the Nobel Assembly at Karolinska Institutet, which then votes and formally decides on the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.

Warm congratulations from all of us at Atle!

About HealthInvest's Medical Council
To truly understand the potential of the companies HealthInvest invests in, portfolio managers Astrid Samuelsson and Elli Hult are advised by a council of medical experts. In a broad and complex area such as the healthcare sector, it is wise to seek a second opinion. They meet regularly with their advisors to tap into their medical expertise and perspectives – to identify promising new drugs and treatments, but also to reduce risk in the investment portfolios. Meet the members of the Medical Council here.
