From AstraZeneca to Abivax – Seven Female Leaders Reshaping Medical Innovation

On International Women's Day, HealthInvet's portfolio managers highlight seven female leaders whose work is shaping the future of healthcare.

Behind every research or diagnostics breakthrough, there are leaders making the right calls at the right time.

On 8 March, portfolio managers Elli Hult and Astrid Samuelsson have selected seven women they have met in person — from Susan Galbraith, Head of Oncology Research at AstraZeneca, to Sylvie Gregoire, Chair of the Board at Abivax. In between are leaders from companies such as Avidity Biosciences — acquired by Novartis for USD 11 billion — and SOBI, with 300 MD/PhDs across research centres in Stockholm, Basel and Boston.

HealthInvest also highlights three members of its own Medical Advisory Board: researchers at Karolinska Institutet, Skåne University Hospital and the University of Helsinki, whose clinical depth is an integrated part of the fund's investment process.
